aha! for those of you who enjoy noodles with thick gravy, here's one dish that will definitely bring some new excitement to your tastebud! it is a common dish in the southeast asian hawker centre-lor mee, which goes around 2 to 3 dollars in singapore.
unfortunately, we don't get the luxury of having such yummy food at a cheap price here in aussie. hence, papa bear decided to concoct our own lor mee feast at home. it is definitely a dish that requires dedication and skills because each component such as the soup stock, the braised pork, the braised egg and the blanched prawns and beansprouts took much time to prepare!
we absolutely enjoyed every single bite of it! oh the gravy can be quite heavy on the stomach and difficult to digest, so it is important to take it with lots of black vinegar like i do! haha...as for the recipe, ask for yl's singapore hawker food if you are willing to take the pains to create this dish!hehehe...
much love
granny bear
