incredible eats!

i haven't been cooking much ever since i came back to brissy. truth be told, it's part laziness and part recovery from the overwhelming amount of yummy food that i got to eat whilst i was in singapore:) hehe

and just to prove my point that i can have a hu-mongous appetite sometimes (and hence, definitely not anorexic or bulimic), here are some incredible eats that got me hooked whilst i was in singapore!

there was this yummy japanese icecream from a shop in bugis. i was out shopping when i saw this huge sign that says "3 scoops of icecream for $3" and i went like O_O!!! i must have some of that even though there was no one to share the ice cream with!hahaha...so you guys can see, i am really quite a greedy girl sometimes:)

and here are the flavours i'd ordered: red bean, black sesame and green tea! when i recounted them to serene, she commented that i ordered all the lao ren flavours= elderly people's flavours! hahaha...i'm not called granny bear for nothing you see! but i do so adore quirky asian tasting icecream over rich indulgent chocolate ones...and my all-time favourite? green tea ice cream!!!oooo...it's the best! YUM!

another favourite food in singapore would be the pancakes and soy bean milk in this shop called mr bean. their pancakes are soft and fluffy, a bit like the japanese dorayaki pancakes and i love it best in either cream cheese or red bean filling. and their soy milk is so thick and fresh that it tastes delicious even without any syrup added! hahaha...i would often pester my brother to buy back for me from his school and though he complains about it all the time, he never fails to respond to my request! oh how i love my brother! hahaha...
ok that's all for now.coming back with more yummy finds and maybe some bakes when i get pictures!hahaha...
much love,
granny bear

Awesome post! I, too, love Mr. Bean ice-cream, although their soya milk is a little too bland for me. I visited Singapore in the summer and Mr Bean ice cream was practically all I had! Now that I'm back in Canada, I really miss it. Too bad they don't have any Mr Bean chains here!
