crazy afternoon at laobeijing

one of the nicest thing i did when i was holidaying in Singapore was to go out with my cousins, yan and maxie (whom we affectionately call mass-mass). and where else to better connect with one another than an afternoon high tea buffet? that day, we chose to go to this place called lao beijing that serves chinese-shanghainese style dim sums after some ravings from my housemate, mr papa bear, who had went there before.

i had been lazy to post up the pictures ever since but since mass mass has requested, here is it my dearest!

on little miss greedy's plate (aka me): siew mai, spring rolls, spring onion pancakes, sweet and spicy marinated cucumber.

on mass's plate: stir-fried dried beancurd skin, spring onion pancake, siew mai and spring rolls (the assortment of dishes were pretty limited actually but nonetheless, worth it for the relatively low price we paid)

i love this shot of you yan! you are so photogenic with your gua-zi lian (oval face)! and posing with her is mr xiaolongbaos! many many of them! i ordered 12 in total! hahaha...it's my favourite dim sum, nevermind the pork fat or jelly that was used to make the soup inside!

and i drowned this particular xiaolongbao with ginger shreds and vinegar. take a small bite of the bao's skin, sip in the soup, and polish off the rest of the meat and skin! whoaaaaaaa!
